Tripura Agricultural Minister Ratan Lal Nath announced that Tripura has successfully cultivated organic wheat for the first time, marking a major milestone in its organic farming journey. The initiative, supported by Tripura State Organic Farming Development Agency, achieved higher yields of 3.03 metric tons per hectare, surpassing conventional averages. This breakthrough highlights strong potential for crop diversification and expansion of organic agriculture across the state.
AIOI is a membership organization to serve its member with a mission to promote the genuineness of organic products and to work actively in organic advocacy with the policy makers. The AIOI board of directors consists of 10 members. Each member serves a turn of 2 year. Board members are elected by AIOI industry general membership member. Presently there are 6 board of directors from the industry , executive director, CEO and other staff members.
