Government has recently made two announcements which are noteworthy
- Promotion of organic farming on both the sides(5-7kms) of river Ganga under the Holistic plan for Namame Gange,
- Rs.4,000/- Cr allotted for encouraging plantation of herbal and medicinal plants on the bank of Ganga River.
Dr. M.H. Mehta has been pursuing this issue during his several discussions and presentations with State Governments ( UP and Uttarakhand ) and the Namami Gangae Project group.
Dr. Mehta welcomes this announcements of the state Governments and said it is doable and this will boost our dream for Eco Agri Revolution for Ever Green Revolution.
He further said this will be a right way for the holistic rejuvenation of rivers, however ,the implementation will need herculean efforts .
