Simulating climate change impacts on soil carbon storage in agroecosystems from Brazilian drylands

Climate change is intensifying aridity in Brazil’s drylands, threatening soil organic carbon (SOC) and long-term agricultural resilience.
Model simulations show land-use conversion often reduces SOC, while intensified practices—especially no-tillage, fertilization, and integrated crop-livestock systems—significantly increase SOC stocks.
Although future climate scenarios project SOC losses, integrated and intensified systems can partially mitigate impacts, highlighting the need for targeted adaptation strategies to sustain dryland agroecosystems.

Indian Farmers Unlock a New Harvest as Grow Indigo’s First High-Integrity Soil Carbon Credits Reach Issuance

Indian agriculture reached a milestone with Verra’s approval of the Aadi Project, a regenerative soil-carbon initiative by Grow Indigo delivering high-integrity carbon credits at scale.
The project creates a new, performance-based income stream for smallholder farmers in Punjab and Haryana, with 75% of proceeds flowing directly to them.
For global buyers, it proves that transparent, science-led soil carbon solutions with robust MRV are achievable in emerging markets.
