Tripura has officially launched its first-ever export consignment of organic pineapples, aromatic rice, and scented lemons to the Gulf market. This historic trade initiative is executed in collaboration with the Dubai-based multinational, Lulu Retail. The state government flagged off the shipment to boost local farmers’ income and showcase Northeast India’s premium produce globally. Ladakh Exports First Organic Apricot Shipment to UAE
Ladakh has initiated its largest-ever fresh apricot export programme by flagging off an inaugural five-metric-tonne consignment of organic, premium-quality apricots to the United Arab Emirates. Facilitated under an MoU with Lulu Retail, this initiative aims to export over 1,000 metric tonnes this season, providing local farmers direct access to international markets. The program highlights indigenous, organic varieties like Raktsey Karpo and Halman, supported by specialized cold-chain logistics to maintain freshness. Quick-Commerce Cuts Out Middlemen to Boost Market Margins for Organic Farmers
Major Indian quick-commerce networks are transforming the distribution pipeline for certified organic goods by integrating farmer cooperatives directly into instant-delivery systems, enabling farm-to-table delivery in under 15 minutes. This direct digital model bypasses traditional wholesale intermediaries, allowing a larger portion of the value to reach producers.
