On july 6, 2026 enforcement wave, the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) detailed that notices were issued to specific food business operators violating the updated Food Safety and Standards Act, 2026. The regulator reiterated that using unauthorized terminology like “100% organic” or claiming a product is “made with organic vegetables” without a licensed endorsement constitutes a severe legal violation. Operators have 7 days to clear their statutory.
