Kakinada: Union minister of state for agriculture and farmers welfare Bhagirath Chowdary said the “Food Basket” organic farming model, currently active in 59 Health and Nutrition villages, will be expanded to 340 more villages.
The programme promotes natural farming through self-help groups and encourages farmers to participate in organic melas, exhibitions, and conferences to market their produce.
AIOI is a membership organization to serve its member with a mission to promote the genuineness of organic products and to work actively in organic advocacy with the policy makers. The AIOI board of directors consists of 10 members. Each member serves a turn of 2 year. Board members are elected by AIOI industry general membership member. Presently there are 6 board of directors from the industry , executive director, CEO and other staff members.
