IFOAM Organics Europe welcomes the Commission’s proposal to create a more appropriate regulatory framework for biocontrol products.
However, it strongly condemns proposed changes that would weaken rules for synthetic pesticides, including allowing unlimited approval periods.
IFOAM warns this is incoherent and dangerous, as renewal procedures are crucial to identify harms to human health and the environment.
