DUMARTARN (GUMLA): Farmers in a once-barren area of the district are setting a silent revolution in motion for their overall progress after turning to organic farming, prohibiting liquors and voluntarily putting a ban on free cattle grazing to safeguard their standing crops. These unique practices in Dumartarn, Tangartoli and PaharPanari areas came to the fore when the farmers invited the district authorities for the first time to attend their meeting organized at Dumartarn on Thursday evening.
AIOI is a membership organization to serve its member with a mission to promote the genuineness of organic products and to work actively in organic advocacy with the policy makers. The AIOI board of directors consists of 10 members. Each member serves a turn of 2 year. Board members are elected by AIOI industry general membership member. Presently there are 6 board of directors from the industry , executive director, CEO and other staff members.
