Tripura’s organic agri-product gains new market in Germany

Tripura’s organically produced ginger and Bird’s Eye Chilly (Dhani Lanka) have found a new export market in Germany after being showcased at BIOFACH 2026 in Nuremberg, where buyers were impressed by their quality and freshness. Agriculture Minister Ratan Lal Nath expressed deep joy as German agriculturists placed orders for 500 metric tons of ginger and 20 metric tons of Bird’s Eye Chilly. He credited the support of the Union Ministry of Industry and Commerce and said Tripura will focus on maintaining quality and increasing production to expand further in international markets.
