The agriculture department has prepared a roadmap to promote chemical free farming in Bundelkhand region following the directions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to encourage organic farming in the state. Hamirpur and Banda have been selected as the immediate beneficiaries in the plan.
The agriculture department has started promoting organic farming in Hamirpur from 2016-17 and got favorable results. The state government has allocated a budget of Rs 4.68 crore for improving the condition of soil, subsidy and providing training and resources to farmers in more areas of the district.
